The 10Θ Drama School welcomes Salih Usta for a two-day Physical Theatre Workshop, exclusively for the school’s students, on September 16 and 17.

This two-day physical theatre workshop focuses on the performer’s physical presence on stage through an exploration of the body, its center, and the relationship with objects and materials.

In the first part of the workshop, we will explore the concept of the center: how movement begins, is directed, and transforms through the body. Through exercises focusing on weight, balance, direction, rhythm, and impulse, participants will discover different possibilities of physical movement.

The second part will focus on material manipulation and the relationship between the body and the object. Rather than treating the object simply as a tool, we will approach it as a stage partner capable of transforming the performer’s movement, rhythm, and imagination.

Through individual and collective exercises, we will explore ways of generating new performance material from the relationship between body, object, and space.
